The classes you pay for can be used for any class offered at the SB Academy; Jiu-Jitsu, Combatives & Self Defense or any combination of the classes during that month. 

  • $ 85 for one day a week per month

  • Kids Program $75 for 2 days a week

  • $99 for 2 days of training per week + free training on open mat times

  • $120 for the unlimited program

  • $20 for each additional class in excess to the monthly plans above.

  • For those interested in just Self Defense. We have a program for you!


First Class Free, NO Contract, GI Available. Close the distance, gain dominant position and finish the fight. Training starts with ground grappling to teach the basics then moves onto more difficult Techniques. Jiu-jitsu is a form of Martial Arts that is based on self defense. Since most fights end up on the ground learning to defend yourself on the ground is essential. Monthly membership. 

The Fundamentals Program 

Let us begin here if you are new to Jiu-jitsu. You will develop a solid foundation with the 36 most important methods for street self-defense taught over a 6-week span and upon successful completion you will earn your certificate and your first step towards earning a Blue Belt. **Included with membership**

Women's Self Defense

Defensive tactics program that is “Jiu-Jitsu based”. This program is 100% taught in an safe and controlled environment that is applicable and has also been proven time and time again in actual street level confrontations. Taught through Private Lessons


We pride ourselves on having a safe, friendly and welcoming environment. Everyone is there to help each other learn and progress.

The main focus of Jiu Jitsu is to effectively control your opponent using technique and leverage, in order to achieve the goal of submission using a choke or joint lock.

The most important thing to remember is to have fun, Jiu Jitsu is a high intensity activity, a typical lesson will consist of a warm up followed by

  • Self Defense Curriculum

  • Focused Technique

  • Sparring

What should I wear?

If you don’t have a kimono or gi then a t-shirt, shorts or tracksuit will be fine. Just make sure there are no zips or buttons.

Do I need to be physically fit?

Jiu-Jitsu is an individual journey, you go at your own pace. Your fitness will improve as you train.
